NEW MUSIC - 'Wiseman' by Stratuzy [prod. EMarWill]

Now, why would I push a song called Wiseman on a blogsite about education?  Hmm...

'Nuff said, right?  If ya still not making connections, that means you need a little more time in the study hall.  I love the vibe of this track--- I love the mandolin bringing the Eastern flair, the simple hi-hat, the 808 snare.  And the lyricism is a given; Stratuzy's a bright young man, no real need to worry there.  There's a whole EP project to follow this single coming this May, and I'm hoping the whole joint mimics this soundscape.  *fingers crossed*


Shoutout for Stratuzy for contributing more positivity to the Augusta culture and to Hip Hop as a whole.  Need more of this and less body bags.  One Love.  #StopTheViolence

NEW MUSIC - '911 Freestyle' by Stratuzy

Augusta GA's got so much fresh talent bubblin' on deck it's not even funny.  Over the legendary Wyclef and Mary J. collab '911', rapper Stratuzy offers us a lyrical exercise of a freestyle.  He refers to himself as the "21st Century Odysseus" while taking us on a journey through his thought process.  Enjoy this cut and stay tuned for more from this young brotha who hails from the same camp that brought us Truez, Kumar, and AE.

New Video --- 'What Dey Mad Fo'/Historic Black Jails' by Truez, 8/11/2015

"For such a time as this..."

Recently I had the pleasure of being part of a video shoot for Augusta favorite Truez.  The GT Films video is a medley of two of his new singles, What Dey Mad Fo' and Historical Black Jails featuring Stratuzy.  The video was shot in a variety of locations, key of which was Minnick Park, a spot very familiar to Augusta residents.

I loved being a part of this shoot because the song and video content was extremely relevant to our situation particularly as Black people in an America full of reemerging racial tension.  In light of police brutality, racial extremists, hate crimes, and media propagandizing, I love that this video doesn't dance around this moment in our nation.

If you look closely, you'll see a lot of Augusta-area talents making appearances all throughout the video, including the likes of Truez's artist Kumar and fellow MC Stratuzy, who's featured on Historical Black Jails.  Take a peek, keep an open mind, and please share!  And yeah, if you look hard enough, you'll see a little E.G.S. in the mix as well, doing some Where's Waldo-isms, lol

Augusta, I’m getting more and more proud of you!  So just a few ticks ago, I introduced you to Augusta artist Stratuzy, and before that I’ve been on my due diligence keeping you abreast of Augusta artist Truez.  Two brilliant minds, great minds think alike… long story short, they got together for a collab track like they should!

I’m pissed at myself because I actually had a chance to peep this a few weeks ago when I was in the studio with Truez, Aaron Grossman, Kumar, and AE.  But me being always on the go, I missed out on the sneak preview, and it came back to BITE me!  …I’m LOVING this cut.

New Music --- Check Out 'Midnight' by Stratuzy, 7/20/2015

So yesterday I’m out at the video shoot for the latest release by Augusta-based artist Truez What They Mad For  (article and images pending).  While I’m waiting for things to get started, I come across a familiar set of dreadlocks from my various stints as a teacher--- a young brotha named Stratuzy who used to sit in my class and underachieve with the best of ‘em, lol.  Back then, he was one of those brilliant guys who knows he could be doing greater things; turns out one of those greater things is spitting enlightenment over instrumentals.  I’m glad to see he’s linked up with the right people, messing with #TRUEZNATION--- and I’m excited to say that they’ve JUST RELEASED a collaboration that will be coming to PNCLBRKR.com as soon as I can get it here!

Meantime, I wanted to share this cut with you good people so that you can get a feel for this young brotha.  A track called Midnight from his up-and-coming project,  Everything And Then Some.  A very insightful piece produced by Tokimonsta.  Like I said, the young man's been brilliant since I've known him, so pay attention to the #BARS on this one.  Enjoy the cut, feel free to leave feedback, and stay tuned for more from the Dreaded Young Wonder.  And like I said, the new Truez track featuring Stratuzy is comin’ right up!
