NEW MUSIC - 'Ain't That Funkin' Kinda Hard On You' by Parliament Funkadelic feat. Ice Cube & Kendrick Lamar

So what does a bangin new track by Parliament Funkadelic featuring Ice Cube and Kendrick Lamar have to do with education?

...Okay.  SO, like I was sayin'--- Heritage.  Legacy.  Lineage.  The passing down of knowledge n skillz n stuff from generation to generation.  That's a HUGE part of education, and plays a particularly significant role in the making of great music.  I was just telling the homie J Mysterio Jr. last night about how there's so much music out right now that's borderline great, but falls into the mediocre category because it lacks "polish"; it's a lot eaiser to put some finesse on a track when it's a collaboration between three generations of West Coast influences--- George Clinton (by way of his and Parliament's being sampled into the creation of West Coast G-Funk), Ice Cube (being a pioneer and icon of that gangsta rap movement), and Kendrick Lamar (being the Compton-based, highly-evolved offspring of that gangsta rap).

As for the track itself... it's got sooooo much swagger, man.  I mean, it's a very cocky, very "let me slow thisnot getting major rotation and almost doesn't need major rotation.  I mean, who's approval does Parliament Funkadelic need to funk?  Or Ice Cube need to gangsta?  Or Kendrick need to rep Compton?
down so everybody can see how fly I am" cut.  For the major talent that was brought together to make it, you're not even hearing this track being shopped around like that; it's got just shy of 300,000 views, and most of those are probably me hitting replay over and over.  You want music like this to get major rotation, but part of what makes it so damn cool is that it's
